HOW IT WORKS

The Next Step currently includes online access to Sporty’s Learn to Fly Course. The course prepares the Young Eagle for the written, oral and flight tests for the recreational, sport and private pilot certificates. This portion of the flight training is free. If a Young Eagle completes the first part of the course, he or she is eligible to take a first flight lesson, provided free of charge. Upon completion of the entire course, the Young Eagle earns the reimbursement of the fee for the FAA written examination.*

In partnership with EAA, The Sporty’s Foundation continues to fund the Next Step program. This initiative grants access to Sporty’s award-winning Learn to Fly Course, free of charge. This program is available to every Young Eagle – past, present and future.
